Loft Projects is an advisory and curatorial initiative led by Leslie B. Weissman & Charlotte Hailstone.

Recognizing a gap in the market and a lack of exposure for emerging artists, Loft Projects specializes in large-scale group exhibitions that bring together both emerging and mid-career artists. By fostering dynamic conversations between diverse works, our exhibitions create opportunities for rising talent to connect with new collectors, galleries, and established artists, expanding their reach within the art world.

‘Empowering Voices, Electric Stories’
Future Fair 2024 Curation by Loft Projects

Loft Projects presents a salon-style exhibition featuring female-identifying artists, inspired by the intimate gatherings of Gertrude Stein’s legendary salons. The show creates a space for championing women artists through artistic dialogue, storytelling, and exploration of identity.

This exhibition will highlight works that offer insight into the artists’ development and the layers that shape their practice. The result is a narrative that celebrates the strength, creativity, and the experiences of women.

About Us

  • Leslie B. Weissman, founder of Loft Projects, and Charlotte Hailstone are artists, curators, and art advisors who bring a multifaceted perspective to the fine art ecosystem. As practicing artists themselves, they understand the challenges of navigating the art world, which informs their work on the advisory and curatorial side. Through Loft Projects, they organize large-scale group exhibitions that connect emerging and mid-career artists with collectors, galleries, and institutions. By bridging these worlds, they create opportunities for rising talent while fostering dynamic conversations between diverse artistic voices.

  • As independent curators, we specialize in organizing dynamic, large-scale exhibitions that highlight emerging and mid-career artists. Our curatorial approach fosters meaningful dialogues between diverse works, creating opportunities for artists to connect with collectors, galleries, and institutions. By bridging gaps in the art world, we shape contemporary cultural narratives and provide fresh platforms for underrepresented voices.

  • We offer expert guidance for individuals and institutions looking to build, refine, or manage art collections, with a strong focus on emerging artists. With firsthand experience as artists, curators, and advisors, we bring a holistic understanding of the art ecosystem, helping clients navigate acquisitions, placements, and investment strategies with confidence. Our deep relationships with the artists we work with allow us to facilitate open dialogue between collectors and creators, not only shaping exceptional collections but also supporting and guiding the careers of the next generation of artists.

  • We are dedicated to cultivating an engaged and informed art community. Through curated panel discussions, collector dinners, and community events, we create spaces for meaningful dialogue about contemporary art and collecting. We introduce new collectors to gallerists and artists, fostering relationships that support the growth of emerging talent. By educating individuals on the importance of collecting living artists, we help sustain and expand the careers of the next generation, ensuring that contemporary art remains a vital and evolving force.

  • We collaborate with collectors, galleries, institutions, and brands to create meaningful connections within the contemporary art world. Whether you’re looking to build or refine an art collection, curate an exhibition, or engage with emerging artists through events and programming, we tailor our approach to meet your vision.

By working closely with both collectors and artists, we ensure that every collaboration is intentional and impactful—whether it’s acquiring new work, developing artist-driven projects, or creating dynamic cultural programming.
