Unsettling Beauty, Making the Case for the Feminine in Feminist Art
Loft Projects, in collaboration with Dimin Gallery, is pleased to present Unsettling Beauty: A Case for the Feminine in Feminist Art. This exhibition brings together a powerful selection of works that challenge and dismantle patriarchal structures within the art world, while reevaluating the social norms surrounding femininity. Each artist in this exhibition uniquely engages with feminism in art, using diverse materials to question and redefine representations of women both as subjects and creators. At its core, feminist art seeks to reclaim and validate women's experiences, perspectives, and interactions with both art and the physical world, confronting historical exclusions and offering new narratives.
