Curator, Artist, etc.
Charlotte Hailstone is a New York-based color field painter and curator whose work bridges the disciplines of painting and graphic design. With a background as a graphic designer and art director for luxury beauty and fashion brands over the past nine years, she brings a sharp understanding of composition, color perception, and spatial dynamics to her practice. Her paintings explore the interaction of color, light, and transparency, often mimicking the optical effects of plexiglass through layered acrylics on canvas. Drawing inspiration from Op Art and color theory, her work plays with depth and movement, creating dynamic, shifting visual experiences. As a curator, she fosters emerging artistic voices through exhibitions and programming that engage with contemporary themes of perception and identity.
